Year 2009 is one of the best year for AMD after Intel’s Core 2 Duo launch. Just today someone validated the CPU screenshot making the history. We all aware of the AMD Phenom II uber overcloking power. Earlier it was Phenom II X4 940 which sets the world record & now its our mid-range X3 720BE.

Phenom II X3 720 BE record

Some user named SpeedTime-Silence used an AMD Phenom X3(X4 by modding) 720 Black Edition set the world record by 6006.62 MHz using Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-UD5P motherboard.

    The final score was:

    • Core Clock set to 6006.62MHz.
    • Multiplier set to x26.
    • Bus speed 231.02 Mhz.
    • FSB 1155.1 Mhz.

The rest of the hardware used was Corsair 1024MB DDR2 800MHz, Geforce 8500GT. The V Core remains undisclosed but we sure say that AMD is back in business!

With this new record we can say that the this phenomenal processor has got some raw power & now other Phenom II X3 720BE owners should also try it on to rock their CPUs. Needless to say that this new record will definitely mark it’s spot over Intel sales!
