AMD Phenom II 4GHZ is officially validated
-

AMD’s 4GHz behemoth Phenom II on air is offically validated by user named “chars“. Now, as Intel leads the way, AMD has a clear chance of stealing the spot here as others also mentioned that AMD Phenom II goes 6GHz but no official proof yet.
The user “Chars” has used the AMD Phenom II 940 processor. The Quad Core Phenom II 940 features 6MB L3 Cache & supports MMX(+) 3DNow!(+) SSE SSE2 SSE3 SSE4A x86-64. The overclocked 4.4GHz processor’s multipliers were set at 20x, bus speed 220.05MHz & FSB at 1100.3 MHz. Other components used were Biostar TA790GX 128M, Corsair 1024MB DDR2 800MHz memory.
With the proof now we can say that there will be a stiff competition from now on between AMD & Intel for the battle of the crown.
